Opening your window in the morning in the PortoSense apartments you will have a beautiful view of the Praça da Ribeira and the River Douro.
Liven your senses, let yourself be invaded by the flavours and sensations this welcoming city holds.
You can start your visit with a boat ride to better observe the panoramic of the city, or lose yourself in the typical narrow and medieval streets of the Ribeira.
Visit downtown Porto, admire the richness of the historical churches and its granite buildings classified by Unesco. You will find examplares of romanic, gothic, baroque and neoclassic art, contemporary works, shopping streets and a vibrant nightlife. Head towards the north, always with the Clérigos Tower in sight. You can walk, take a bus tour operator in Ribeira or opt for the funicular (next to Ponte Luís I) – a means of transport which gives you a fantastic view over the city.
You should also visit the other side of the river, Gaia, crossing Ponte Luis I (Gustav Eiffel) – where in addition to the animation of the cafes and bars, you will also find the infamous Port Wine Cellars. Toast with a glass of one of the most respected wines in the world.
Visit Serralves, the Casa da Música, the Clérigos Tower, the Lello Lybrary, the Porto Wine Solar or the Port Wine Museum, among many others.
It is also a good choice to use the centenary tram for a ride along the river up to Foz, a zone with beaches, esplanades, good restauarants and one of the most pleasant locations to visit.
At sunset, stroll to the gardens of the Parque da Cidade (City Park).
